Beautiful cliffs of Appledore

Beautiful cliffs of Appledore,
I reach the top in darkness.
I envision falling to the floor,
Wanting to kill off the emptiness.

My whole life flashes in front of my eyes,
The angels finally hear my cries.
I'm at death's door waiting for the key,
The key that will release me for eternity.

All of a sudden I see flashes back at age six,
My issues aren't something you can just fix.
Too much to bare; too much to endure,
God I wish there was a cure.

Beautiful cliffs of Appledore,
I stood there ready for death.
Beautiful cliffs of Appledore,
I stood there as I wept.

Beautiful cliffs of Appledore,
I give you my body someday.
Beautiful cliffs of Appledore,
I'll come back one day to stay.

I'll be there, passing by,
I'll be there, in the sky.
Like beautiful petals in the wind,
You will hear the nightingale sing.

Beautiful cliffs of Appledore;
I'll be there someday.
